I usually bring that dog food bag when I go pike fishing.  Don't want them to freeze onto the ice or the bottom of my sled.  Helps keep all the slime inside the bag as I'm sure you know pike slime doesn't smell the best.  Bag is thicker so helps keep the snow off the fish as well.  Works good for gills too.  Most of my bags I cut off the tops and cut holes so it has handles on it.  I'll see if I can find a picture and post it for you later on this evening.

Couple pics of the dog food bags after I cut out some squares to make it like a handle.  Heavy duty and like I said it helps keep the slime from getting in the bottom of my sled and don't have the pike laying on the ice or getting covered in snow.

Thanks fellas.  If we get good ice/any ice at all hopefully I'll have some new ones in the near future.
