avidangler, Click on this link:  www.fishwarroad.com  It will take you to Riverside Bait and Tackle! A very good bait shop! It is located on Highway 11 by the traffic light where you have to turn left in order to get down to the Seven Clans Casino! The Cen-Ex gas station on the east side of Warroad also has a very good bait shop. Talk to Jamie Bender there to get the lowdown on the bite there. Marvin's Home Center, right across the street from the Holiday Station, also carry's a very good assortment of tackle. Good luck! DIRTBALL2 ;)

Good to run into you again my friend!

When do plan on coming to Lake of the Woods?  Strieff Sporting Goods is another great Warroad bait shop.

Trip was great. Got up there and got settled in at izzys place. Than headed out to 5 mile reef Friday by noon.friday was ok. We ended up with 7 walleye, 4 saugers, and 5 tulibe. All which were keepers. Saturday the resort took us out to another point on 5 mile in there shacks. Guide told us the night before the women in the shack before us killed it on the jumbo perch so we were excited, ( we had two shacks ). So our shack with 4 guys ended up with 7 more tulibe, 2 walleye and 2 more sauger. The other shack of our group caught all walleye and jumbo perch but I forget the count. By Sunday we were all pretty much hungover from the bar at izzys but still managed to get up by 5am to head out to one. Ore spot before heading home. We hopped over to gull rock reef I think it was. Fishing was extremely slow until about noon and then we started getting a couple bites, but mainly on the tip ups. Sunday we caught 9 keepers mixed between walleye, tulibe and sauger. In all we had a blast but thinking next year on the last day we will hit up upper red lake. We used dead shiner heads on the rods jigging with spoons and live chubs on the tip ups. Colors used were red, pink, and silver spoons.

Thx for the report twin...very informative...gonna try to head up there next week if the weather shows any improvement...this has got to be one of the worst years weatherwise for ice fishing,,,Usually fish Lake Winnipeg but there is way too much snow for a 4x4 now, its always too cold or windy or both lol  .hopefully conditions improve for march  .will post results if I ever do get up to Warroad

The weather finally settled down a bit so we headed to Warroad for a couple of days..Fishing wasn't too good  as we only got 3 walleyes (largest was 22 inches ) and a jumbo perch in one day. Everything else there was great tho...That town sure is  set up for ice fishing.  We in Manitoba don't have anything like it..I will be going back for sure..
