We are going to have our derby next weekend just like we did last year. It will start saturday morning and go til sunday afternoon.

10 bucks to enter
4 divisions Walleye, perch, crappie and panfish (sunfish,bluegills)
100% payout on the top 2 places per division.
tournament goes by length and we use weight as a tie breaker.
WE ARE GOING TO DO A KIDS DIVISION FOR 12 AND UNDER PAYING 1 PLACE PER DIVISION, ENTRY FEE IS THE SAME AND HAS TO BE ACCOMPANIED BY A REGISTERED ADULT. EACH KID GETS A JIFFY ICE AUGER HAT FREE WHEN THEY SIGN UP.
Buy your tickets here at The River Rat Tackle Shop only and must be purchased before Saturday 2/19 at 7am.
you can check in your fish til 5pm saturday and all fish have to be checked in by 3pm sunday or they will not count.

It will melt this snow crap...but also degrade the 6-8" of good ice? We still have a while on the ice, think cold.

Icefish baby.....dunanadunana. ...Icefish baby....You gotta stop, grab your bait and listen. Ice is on the lake so we are going fishing. Best version of vanilla ice I have ever heard.

I won $100 in the Adult walleye category last year with a 19-1/2" fish. Weather was poor for fishing that weekend last year, IIRC.

Im trying to think back to last year, seems very hazy and filled with cob webs in here, anyway
I think it was 22 1/2" that won walleye, B hammer won perch with a 14+" fish, I think crappie was almost 14" and panfish was a giant gill over 12"

Just caught a weather report calling for 30-40 mph winds on Saturday. Of course take that for what it is worth these days of sensationalized weather forcasting

The warm weather will melt the slush hopefully cold temps will lock it up sat. night for a great day on Sunday. Winds were brutal last Saturday hopefully we don't get a replay of that this weekend.
