I have them as well, and though I wear them for ice fishing, I bought them for bowhunting.  Where they really excel is when you have to exert a lot of physical energy (and sweat), but also stay warm.  When bowhunting, I need to walk in (sometimes a mile) to my stand (then I start sweating).  When I then sit in stand, I get pretty cold up here in ND after a while (then they keep me warm).  If you just want to stay warm, I don't know if you need to go that route - maybe just some really highly insulated long underwear.  If you're pulling your trap across the ice or something though, they'd work really well.

I would say YES
It is a great base layer, just have to get used to how tight they feel when you wear them.
I would suggest getting them even though they are a little pricey.

if you need something to wick away moisture, nike dryfit does a good job as well...sometimes you can find it way cheaper than under armour if they're on sale

Just get the normal size clothes you wear, it fits tight but the cold gear will keep you warm. As for price some other companies make similar stuff for cheaper. I got my long sleeves for like 20 bucks instead of the 60 for Under Armour.
pour me another one, I'm finished with the other one

It works well, especially if you sweat a little before you park in one place.  It is also a great diet aid - put it on and stand in front of a full length mirror.

I run every day and wear this stuff all the time.  One thing to add - don't bother spending the money on underarmor or Nike.  You can find the exact same stuff in imitation brands for about 50% the price.

What brand would you suggest?  I have been thinking about purchasing Under armour, But if someone can tell me an "off brand" that works as well at a better price, I'm interested.

Thanks in advance.....

Buying the Cold Gear is worth it but I also use it playing football and snowboarding so its worth the fifty bucks. Its nice since its lightweight and comfortable wear under everything else.
