tear drops with good hooks?

are there any teardrops or  small jigs being sold these days that have good quality hooks? I normally go after pannies, but the occasional big bass or pike tend to straighten out or break the hooks off the teardrops etc. ...maybe its just part of the game?

I did notice that some manufacturers are switching to stronger hooks but wasn't paying attention as to who it was. I've been making my own ice flies for a few years now because I've
straightened the hook too many times on large trout using four pound line. Tiemco 2x hooks are what I use for flies and I use Gamakatsu on the larger lead jigs that I use a mold for.

most tiny jigs have thin hooks

i guess having a reel with a good drag system set light unuf to give line before trashing the tiny hook is the cure.

Also belps if you do not use pliers or forceps to grab the hook shank to get a deep hooked fish off. Go to yourbobberdown.com and get yourself a toothpick they are cheap and save the expensive tungsten jigs. Plus while your there you can order some jigs never had a hook break yet on a fiska!!!!
