new/old clam scout tent same?

hey guys/gals.. my son wants to buy a new solo flip,cause his tent has seen better days!! mose holes, burn holes.. but we checked out the clam site and had seen they have a couple tents. one for 08/09 and the new TC model scout... would his 08 scout still fit the new thermal cap? or did the sled change? the travel covers still the same..

I spoke with Clam cust. service before I ordered mine, gave them the measurements.  The old and new scouts are the same, and mine fit perfect.  My scout was the 1st gen with the blue carpet bench seat.
