Clam Pro TC --- Seat --- wit or wittout?
« on: Nov 14, 2010, 11:43 AM »
Just opened up the Clam Pro TC and letting things warm up to room temp before piecing together. I'm thinking of placing a cargo 'D' ring at the rear to clip a small Jet sled to (optional). The thought being I could place heavier items into the Clam tub, and lighter stuff into the sled if I wanted to go "heavier" and not be so mobile at times.

In looking at the seat (very nice, btw) and brackets, I think I could lighten the weight considerably by not adding them to the tub. I'm cool with a 5g bucket seat or even a small cooler or one of those Plano storage boxes.

Has anyone gone w/o the seat/brackets in a Pro and how did you like it. To be honest, the seat looks VERY COMFY but I'm not sure if I'd like the lighter pull throughout the day.
