I was told that there was between 1 and 2 inches of ice before we got all this snow. Looking at the lake there is a lot of grey areas. As of now there hasn't been anyone out fishing. Maybe by the weekend there may be a few areas that are ok (providing you are a little guy). Think I am going to wait till February. Let me know if anyone is brave enough to venture out. BE CAREFUL, AND DON"T GO ALONE. STAY SAFE...

Thought I saw where they were having a tournament there either this weekend or next. This weekend could be okay. Next weekend should be okay.

I just called the DNR station and they said only an inch and a half of ice so be careful

I just went out 50 yards or so and drilled had 2.5. To. 3 inches of solid ice if anyone is near and wants to try it send me a message would feel better with someone else out here

It is always thicker near shore. You must be careful if you cross the channels.

Went out this morning. Ice was anywhere from 1.5-3.5. Got 4 decent gils. Make sure you spud 👍🏼

Next week before I venture out on the ice even if only fishing in 3' of water. Been thru once and didn't enjoy it. Be safe out there if you do go. With the cold weather in the forecast we'll have plenty of good ice by next week.

Just hope the snow doesn't put down too much insulation to slow things down. The high winds in the forecast may keep accumulation on the open lake to a minimum, let's hope so. Checked the lake out back yesterday by Mormon hill, about 2" with an 1" of snow ice on top

If we do get hit with this snow chance of rain Tuesday and a high of 40. Thursday, Friday back in the teens so that’ll help a lot.

I didn’t do well but saw a lot of finicky fish on the camera. Around 4” out off Morman and the road is fine getting back there. Some guys out too.

There may be 4 inches but not 4 inches of clear ice where i looked. I couldn't find more than 2 inches of clear. The rest felt hard but i didn't want to push my luck. Had a couple of friends that went out and found no more than 3 of clear where they where. Be careful people. I saw 3 small kids out there yesterday.

Fished yesterday till dark. Ice 4 inches very solid. found a hole caught 20 lots small.

.7 inches of rain overnight and still raining. Going to stop and get cold soon. Hopefully too much damage wasn't done. Next few days look great for making some ice.
