Ice
« on: Dec 28, 2018, 01:03 PM »
It sure seems like we don’t get ice in Indiana, like we did twenty years ago. We always had at least three mouths of ice. With a few days of 18 inches of March ice,and 50 degree weather. Now there isn’t any need for the gas augers.

I remember when, if you didnt have a gas auger, you punched your couple holes and that was IT. Too much ice to wander and drill again. Arms too tired...

We are all on this earth for just a fraction of a second, in the big scheme of things. Lots of educated people that think they can accurately summarize the past and predict the future are telling us that we are DOOMED, unless we listen to them and the politicians of this world. Thanks but No Thanks. All of this has lead to everyone with a job,  paying billions in taxes for the pleasure of breathing and farting. Everyone would like to control there destiny, but this big rock will be here way longer than human beings. When it's ready, it will shake us all off like a bad case of fleas.

I remember in the seventies when the " Great Scientists " of the time were telling us that in 50 years we would not be able to produce enough food to feed the people in world. Meanwhile, today we have billions of bushels of corn and beans laying in piles on the ground rotting because we can't get rid of it quick enough. Anyone remember the movie Soylent Green with Charlton Heston , I haven't had to eat my neighbor yet! ;😜

Hasn't been that long ago we were drilling 20" of ice and driving all over Wawasee. We'll see it again. While I believe in global warming I also believe in cycles. We will see winter again .At 75 I hope I'll see winter again.

Agree....

Global Warming is nature just cleansing itself. What melted all the glaciers that covered North America thousands of years ago. Wasn't caveman camp fire polution it was nature.

California wild fires doesn't help with air pollution. Why are there so many fires? Cause it has a law you can not clear dead trees or cut down a tree on ur own property without Gov. approval.

Some years nature gives us ice early and till end of Feb. other yrs not. In Indiana it comes in cycle like Wlatrout said.
