Not sure exactly what the question is. You want to know about the Ski-doo, the Otter or the owner?

Hey Mainedog, is that a Tundra? What ever it is it's a nice machine.
Be safe out there, and set the iron.

Oh yeah, I'm with you, I'll take the Tundra. The Freestyle is a kids machine, 300cc fan. Not that it wouldn't work just fine for ice fishing, I just would want something with a little more motor to haul my 250lbs + whatever gear I am towing. That Freestyle must be light though, which would be nice. Doo makes some great machines.

Make sure the dealer adjusted the carb jets, and the oil pump on that thing.
Otherwise come 100mi. you'll toast a piston.

funny, alot of people told me the same w/ my 06'   550 expedition. they asked me how many times i had to bring her to the shop. i told them never other than regular maintence. just broke 3000mi. on her. love that sled. 1 3/4in paddle track and ex. wide plastic skis with 100 carbide picks on her i can drive thru a ft. of slush and come out of it! 2up seat removes and you can put a tool box or chainsaw there instead. its also 150lbs. lighter than the scandics of the same year. made on the rev platform. the 550 fan cooled motor is more than enough to pull anything i need it to.

The 2010's had a service bulletin out on the things I mentioned.
Quite a few folks found out the hard way.
Since Filletandrelease picked up a holdover, hopefully somebody
was on the ball and did it before it left the shop, or his was so
late in the production run that the issues were resolved before
it got to the dealer.

I am writing from painful experience.  All good now.  In fact, went out
last weekend on some skidder paths.  The local I was with got stuck
3 times.  I never even had a hint of bogging down!  Amazing machine.
Hopefully I'm getting all the bugs worked out by now.

As for the original poster's question, I remember seeing the post/picture.
The sled pictured is an 09 I think, short track.  Should be a good ice fishing
sled though.  Lightweight, powder track.
