I would love to see 24" blizzard come through to put down a nice base of snow then let the cold temps surge on in. It's much easier to get the temps down with a nice base of the white stuff.

Why do i torture myself and visit here in the middle of summer!! arrgg!! I just climbed out of my 85 deg pool thinking about the hard water.. I mentioned it to my wife and I thought she was going to strangle me (she's not a fan of winter) So now I'm sitting here staring at my new fish finder..

6 months and counting.

What you need to do is put a few ice packs on your neck and head while looking at it. You'll get a much better senes of the real thing!

My last fish of the 08 - 09 season, The next day 10+ inches of ice vanished within 3 hours!(35 mph East wind) that's one time I was actually glad to be at work..

ill take 3 weeks of no snow and cold then it can snow 3" of fluff on friday then melt on monday then repeat! or ill take a big ol blizzard..

well that really s@#$s!! and its early too.i have heard from a few differant people that this is gonna be a real cold winter with lots of precipitation to. definataly not looking forward to the heat bill at all. i personally don:t mind the cold but i care for my mom and she can:t take the cold. she is older and disabled and the cold makes it rough for her.

i don't mind the snow i just don't like a lot on the ice but on the snowmoile trails its ok though

yeh ill take some cold but snow on the ice here in Michigan turns into a slushy sloppy mess.but if it snows alot i will still trudge out to the crappies.

Maine, you are right even in Indiana near lake michigan 3" of snow and people still try to drive like its dry asphalt. I dont mind it I can drive in it with no problems. its the other idiots trying to go way to fast.

Mother nature was good to use last winter we fished starting about the second week of December all the way to the end of Feb. Lets go!

We had our snowiest winter ever last year. New records were set all over this area and I was still driving my Tahoe on the lake by Jan. 1. So it can be as cold and snowy out there as it wants, I'll be happy.

Icey trail bad ice on lake good. Snow on lake just a bit good for traction. Snow good for the plants insulates them and i love snow but not 6' on the lake. As long is it is mostly on the ground I'm cool.

I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT, I've got a bad feeling with no named storms yet in the Atlantic, usally means an El Nino is forming in the Pacific! You remember the El Nino in 98-00, I could live without the ice storms and floods! I haven't heard anyone say theres an El Nino, but simallar pattern!
