Saw 9 robins outside my kitchen window. Still lots of snow on the ground, so will be hard "worming" for them. They found where I dumped some fermenting apples so they'll get a buzz on!

Probably in the next week or 10 days if we get some warmer weather to melt snow. There's still 18-24" in the alders where they hang out. This is the first spring in 38 years that I haven't heard a woodcock in March.

I had in mind that you heard one last year on March 24. First spring in 38 years without one in March. That says a bunch.

Saw a huge flock of geese flying up lake Saturday, then a squall popped up and they literally turned on a dime and head back south...

Snow geese!!!!! I heard they were falling out of the sky with bird flu. I have had 2 pair of Blue birds at my feeders for a couple of weeks.
