Pishkun

Had fun Saturday at Pishkun, caught 54 perch in 6 hours. Fished 50 FOW and the ice was 14". They ran a bit smaller than last year, average 10" with some smaller and some bigger. Every one was full of freshwater shrimp, never tried grass shrimp for bait but if I see some I'm going to buy them to try.

Good luck all- see you at the CF derby.

Anyone tried Pishkun lately? Thinking of going tomorrow. How big do the pike get in there anyway?

The biggest pike I have seen in there was 10lbs. Most on the ones that I have seen caught are around 3lbs.

Hit pishkun wednesday road in was muddy and drifted. Fished all day iced one pike 4lbs.  And couldn't find the perch.  Is this normal for this lake or did I just hit it on a bad day. ???

For me it has been terrible this year. I did well most every time last year.
The high water has made it difficult to find the fish.

I have never seen the water as high as it is so I am sure that has something to do with it.

Made it in again yesterday, "back road" in was drivable though a bit muddy. Between the 6 of us we got about 45 perch 1 northern, about 2 lbs. The perch aren't hitting like they were last year, we would pick up 1-2 here and there, not the big schools like before. 50 FOW.

They are running around 8-9", anywhere you can find deep water.
