Title: Open Water Perch
Post by: happyheber on Sep 01, 2020, 10:39 AM
I was wondering if you guys go out and pound the perch on their way to their winter haunts. Some times I get lucky enough the lake that is closest to the house
doesnt freeze in the winter and I pound the fish out of my boat with my I pilot. These fish are known to go 55-75 feet deep. I typically fish with the same things
I do ice fishing. Which is tungstens and cast masters with micro jigs. Eyeball or a pinch of worm get them every time. Windy days are real tough. This is a pic of
just the other day. In 20 feet of water. With tungstens and a pinch of worm. We catch blue gill and crappie and perch and an occasional walleye. The walleye are
generally what we call cigars. So we put them back so we will have a good summer bite. Tight Lines HH
