Tiber

I'm very new to fishing Tiber.  Went out there last weekend and managed to get one northern and couple walleye.  I was using suckers, shiners, and little dead smelt.  In terms of targeting pike what is the favorite bait of choice.  And in terms of depth where should I be going.  The shallowest I had them was maybe 10 feet.  Should I go shallower.
