Title: First ever smallmouth on ice

It's taken me 20 years of ice fishing, but finally caught my first ever smallmouth bass on ice, while trout fishing a new lake I've never been to before. Stunning 4 lbs lunker made my day!

beauty of a fish!    I caught a small mouth jigging yesterday.  Was a great fighter.

Congrats on the nice smallmouth.  I enjoy your pics.  I'm unable to get out this season to enjoy the sport due to foot surgery.  Looks like I might be out the whole season. Bummer, I'm used to going out everyday..

Ouch that sucks. Can't even imagine missing an entire season.  :'(
