Was a shanty out of Yuba so didn’t bother stopping. Elk Rapids we walked a ways out and never got through with the spud. Lots of flow ice and hard to walk lol.

I was checking into heading up that way to fish last Saturday and my source said Bowers Harbor had enough ice that they were running quads and sleds, but nowhere else on either bay.

There was a sled and a quad out at deepwater point yesterday. I didn’t notice where they went though. There was quad tracks out where we were fishing in 135’ from either earlier in the morning or earlier in the week.

Unrelated - does anyone know how this wind will affect GT Bay? I see Saginaw Bay lost all their ice today

I haven't heard, but if the wind today is doing to GT Bays what it's doing to Sag Bay I wouldn't expect any...

Do those exist out there? I think I heard someone took home a dozen or so one day over the weekend after they sorted through 500 lol

Anyone know where the burbot are at?! Would like to get into the burbot/cisco/whitefish. Lakers are plentiful and easy to limit out on quickly.

There are some nice ones out there. My boys and I kept 24 the other morning, and I kept 25 last Thursday morning. We were off the ice by 10. I've heard a lot of guys say they are using spikes and hali's. I use these as well, but my biggest ones come on a jigging rap or a big blue on a dead stick. Big bait seems to equal big fish.

Yah. Its a zoo out there. There are several other access points that are safe now too. I don't know if there are perch anywhere else...I assume there is... I'll probably start to venture out to some different places to get away from the crowd.

I tried finding some perch out of Greilickville on the wrecks, but someone was already sitting on top of the close one. We tried to find the barge but ran into an iffy spot that I didn't want to walk across so we went back to the first one and tried drilling a little ways off the guy that was there. Didn't mark anything and didn't want to fish right on top of him either so we left.

I was out off Clinch this afternoon and there were only a dozen or so scattered around this afternoon. we marked a few right on the bottom but never had a bite. On a good note there is plenty of ice.

I went off Clinch last night to see if there would be an evening bite. I didn't mark or catch a single fish. Probably won't be trying that again.

East Bay ice condition at the M-37 Launch: ATV trafficable (only 3” powder on top). 9” ice out to 70 FoW. 8” past 70 FoW out to 100’. Any further than that I can only assume it gets thinner.

The slush hole at the ramp is not a worry. Just water on top of 9” of ice.

Plenty of ice on Suttons Bay with lots of ATV’s and snowmobiles. Saw a report they were getting walleye, but guys I talked to on Saturday were not finding them. I was able to ice some nice perch using walleye size spoons tipped with large minnow heads or tails - I used 4” blues. Tried smaller jigs and spoons with spikes and/or waxies but only had lookers.
