Iroquois?

Anyone know whether the north end of Iroquois
( off the access area ) is locked up ? Ice report? Trying to avoid wasting a trip up there if it's not fishable.

So I will answer my own question! Iroquois is not safe. Maybe 2 in of ice off the beach. Nobody has been out there. Probably won't be ready by this weekend either looking at the weather. Don't waste a trip.

Even the smaller waters are not safe yet. Same thing up here in Maine . What are you catching in the Iroquois these days?
When I was a kid in 1972-1980 we would get yellow perch , pickerel , sunfish. Is there crappie in there now?

Yes on the crappie, but mostly we catch pickerel, yellow perch, panfish, pickerel, and more pickerel there

Good luck there this season. I grew up in Richmond and my parents would take us there to swim to. I’m sure it’s cleaner water now since modern sewer systems. Ha ha! 🎣🥶
