Village of Greenwood lake fishing permit
« on: Jan 27, 2022, 06:43 PM »
According to The village of greenwood lake’s webpage, a 10 dollar fishing permit is now required to access greenwood lake from shore to ice fish from the village park. The permit is good for 1 day only.  In order to get a permit you must show up in person during the work week, from 8-4.
Guess I’m not accessing from their park anymore.  The way the website reads, it appears a permit is required for fishing if your accessing the ice from shore anywhere in the village.  I didn’t read the actual law yet, but what b.s

I guess I’ll drive to jersey.  Best of luck to the village trying to enforce the law.

They also have "no boat" bouys setup near the shore that are not enforceable. Someone in that town is far overstepping their boundaries.

this is probably to discourage the bucket brigade who come by the bus-load from flushing queens and take more than the daily limit allowed for crappies by bringing them back and forth in their coolers to their bus every time they catch their limit.

I know a lot of local town lakes started requiring permits to fish or use the park during covid due to people from all over the area showing up and people leaving trash all over the place

Did the north end ever lock up before this rain we're getting tonight?
