Desoto Bay and surrounding area

Hey all,

In Feb I am coming up to desoto bay to ice fish. It will be my first time on the Mississippi. Besides Desoto any other suggestions where to fish? I plan on bringing my atv and also would like to know what I should be looking out to avoid. Thanks!

Have not fished the area in like 50 years, even back then extreme caution was a must, because of not knowing where spring waters and or current's may be under cutting the ice. Hope you can hook up with a local, it can be treacherous.
