I was thinking about a gas auger but I need a drill anyway for setting my popup so I may try this.

I highly recommend this set up. I got rid of my heavy propane auger and tried some different auger set ups. So far i'm most happy with this drill/battery and auger. Its super efficient being only about 8 pounds and drills so many holes. I can now also use the drill for my tent pegs. Saves space in my vehicle too!
