Best jigging technique for 2 fishermen
« on: Jan 14, 2022, 01:52 PM »
When you got 2 guys in one shanty, jigging for lakers with a flasher, what do think is the most productive technique?
Both near the bottom and both retrieve at the same pace for chasers?  Different depths?  Different paces?  Taking turns so it’s one jig at a time?   Etc… other ideas?

Not to be snarky, but let the fish tell you as each day is different.

It’s usually the other guy doing it right.

One strategy might be to have one guy reel up to draw a chase and the other guy keep bouncing the bottom.

I've had me and 2 of my adult boys in one hut with no issues. 4 holes, and didn't seem to impact the fishing either, caught plenty, Lakers, burbot, grayling, pike.  We've done this lots over the years, we do make sure we're at different depths, take turns with the depths, as we all have different lures/bait.

One angler drop a tube jig to the bottom, try jig for a few minutes and then burn it right up to the top. Second angler drop lighted jig right to the bottom and then burn it to the top. Been my two best lures/presentations for Lakers for a long time.
