They’re more of a man than I am. That lake was wide open less than 2 weeks ago. I live 15min away and I’m lucky if I fish that place 2-3 times a year (including summer).. It’s definitely a ghost of what it once was to where I’d rather drive over an hour than fish that lake

Any info on ice thickness?  Got to be a foot thick or more with these nighttime temps.

Haven't fished it yet this year but i imagine 12''+ at this point. I saw guys out on snowmobiles and quads last weekend when i was checking the family cottage for frozen pipes (fml). Would love to hear any reports as the fishing has been poor the last several years on the hardwater and in summer.

2 weeks ago there was about 6 inches all around the island, so it is likely thicker now. I'll try there this weekend again

I live 15min from bakers beach (Just down vickerman). we have about 13” of new snow. Richfield was supposed to get a little more than us so I’d expect 13+ Atleast of new snow.

Huh. I live 30 minutes due West of Cando and we only received 4 inches of snow. I guess I'll have to check it out.

Anyone have any recent reports on cando? Fish, ice conditions or anything else. Thinking about going up tomorrow been a few years since I've fished it. The last time I was able to drive my truck out on it and that was about 15 yrs ago.

My brother went there Thursday. He said the ice was fine. There were 3 trucks at the boat launch and 1 at Bakers. He went out of Bakers and worked all the way across and back. Caught 2 perch and marked just a few fish.

Did the ice survive the warm weather and rain? Or do I need to pack the gear away for next year
