dont forget to buy a nonresident lake erie permit for 10.00 on top of your non resident ohio license. ohio dnr needs more money from us out of state fisherman.

Thanks, looks like there might be decent fishable ice from shore now.
If the weather holds, probably be able to get machines on next week sometime.

Good luck Coop! Must have made some good ice in a hurry? A week ago there were articles in paper warning people to stay off the ice as back then it wasn't safe!

This island area tends to stay locked in better then the western basin... less room for the ice sheet to get blown around.
Good Luck Coop... I'm jealous.  Maybe I can get a shot at them eyes here soon if only work would slow down first.

Had to cut the trip short one day, most all shanty's were pulled Tuesday afternoon.
Was an awesome 3 days of fishing.
Sun, Mon slower bite, Tues lots of marks.
No Fish over 6 lbs. Bellies full of shad.

blue chrome j rap #7 was the favorite, followed close by a parrot colored 1/2 ounce jig minnow head pinched off and body ran up
the hook. Short minnow.

Saw a newer jeep Sunday out by Rattle Snake, then Tuesday a full size f 250 lift and big tire's came out.
close to 15 inches of Ice off of SBI. Crazy hearing the Ice crack as the Ford was coming out.

Had a rescue off Catawba Tues big crack opened.
flying back got a good look where she opened.

Hope this storm doesn't  wreek havoc with the Erie Ice base.
