Have the spud two days of above freezing weather plus rain on already thin ice typically isnít a good combination but with the ice season anymore you never know. Better to play it safe than sorry especially for a panfish or two.  The good news is the temps supposed to be dropping after today and hopefully we donít get too pounded with snow but get the miserable temperatures and windchill expected

8-12 inches of snow expected Sunday night in Portersville. Hopefully it's windy Sunday night and some of the snow blows off the lake. Just when you think we're in the clear and a big snowstorm comes along

A little thin for my liking as well and top looks a little rotten from the rain. I will probably wait until sunday

Hey guys, Does Zion usually have about the same ice as MC, or is it a little less?

Just my opinion...but I'd say about the same and usually thinning the closer you go to the middle/bridge.  It's snowing here now ..

Was out today on MC. 3.5" of solid clear ice. Fished 7am-noon. Very very slow. Dad hooked a decent bass, but I was skunked for the first time in a lot of years. Very unusual for early ice. I could see 9 guys from where I was at and nobody had much action.

Not a ton to be honest, most were in that 6-8 inch range. Lots of 7.5's (which in my eyes is a solid keeper), a few just over 8.
