Anyone have ice reports? Wamplers should hve some ice but with last snow, I am suspect. Looking for Vineyard info too

SleePac:
Nuts-

Wamplers is being fished on a regular basis, from what I'm being told.

Sand Lake produced some nice gills for a buddy of mine yesterday.

Stay Safe!

reelbigfish:
Guys,
I used to fish in the Irishhills when I was younger.  Wamplers is heavily overfished
in the summer.  The boat and jetski traffic is unreal.  The gills are stunted IMO.
Sand Lake is a good 1/2 mile walk from the public access to get to deep enough
water to fish.  Gills are in the cove at the far end of the lake at least a mile walk.
There used to be nice perch but I can't find them in recent years.  Vinyard has a
nice population of pike.  Try fishing off the end of Pink Street.  These lakes aren't what they used to be.  You might want to try the lakes in Waterloo recreation area
east of Jackson or Hillsdale area lakes.

One thing we found out about Vinyard was to get away from the crowd around the boat launch.Weused to go all the way over and fish the horse shoe drop off area out from the kids camp.

Bigbass101:
Not all the fish in Wamplers are stunted.  This one was caught this past summer.  12 1/2 inches long, and 1  lb. 7 ounces.(Released)

Depending on the weather this weekend, I may try some ice fishing there.
