Houghton Lake ice is still safe, I saw cars out on it yesterday. Althought we are starting to get some wamth up here too had over 50 today and 60 tomorrow so watch it real close, may go fast. Good luck and be safe.

 I saw some carsout there today also, but lots of sleds and atv's. No open water reports as of yet, although The Cut River is opening up alittle right down past the channel.  Looks safe as of yet but use care. Good luck.

Steve was down at end of road today, and saw 3-4 guys out on Moddle grounds with atvs. Then looked straight west and saw some dark shapes way ot there. Thought it was birds. Got out Binoculars and looked and it was about 10-12 atvs with about 20 guys out about 2 miles.  Think thats about where twenty foot hole is, so I'm wonderin if they found the crappie??. Well I'll try to find out, and If I do I'll let you know. Good luck this weekend.

thx guys i live in toledo and houghton lake is a long drive for me so it looks like my ice fishing is done for the year thx for the reports.
