I'm a big fan of the Ice Strong Titanium wires, but like similar ones, tying them on or removing the rod tip to use shrink tubing is a pain. So this morning I got busy.
I cut a short piece of O-ring (only small diameter rubber I had). Then took a straight pin to poke a hole through it. Next, I used a piece of shrink tubing to secure it to the rod tip ( glue would work as well I'd think...or both). Then I just pushed the wire into the rubber (quite snug so it shouldn't fall out). I can also switch out wires depending on strength/sensitivity needed. Just need ice to test it out.

Good thinkin! Might give this a try if you will report success.

Finished product. Went with small rubber stoppers. Works great.
