Took a father and son out for my first guided outing of 2022 today. Chad hit the jackpot, landing a slam of the 3 dominant species in the lake from the first hole of the day.

Think his frozen toes may say otherwise :(

Frozen toes hurt a lot less when you are catching. Nice job dad.

To his credit, the kid did last nearly 3.5 hours. That was after I gave him my gloves. His father had proper boots, guess he's going to have to get his son a better pair if he plans on taking him out on open ice again.

Nearly 15 years for carp in open water, less than 10 years on ice. Not full time, more of a hobby to get cash for extra gear @)
