Trapped about 50 of these things this fall and have read how Walleyes love them. Don't have many 'Eyes here in RI so we'll see how they do catching pike. I threw one on a hook this summer and a LM hit it within a minute or two. It'll be the first year using them on the ice. And yes I've gotten the sting a couple of times, once even drawing blood. Hurt like a bee sting like everyone says and on the bright side I had no reaction
. Figure the gloves I wear on the ice will offer up some protection. I'll let you know how they work in case anyone here in the NE gets them in their minnow traps.
