Post by: Jeremy John on Mar 01, 2018, 07:45 PM
Just picked up a set of "Heart of Maine" traps really nice quality and work well I'm going to guess at least 20 years old any info about these traps and where they were made would be appreciated.

Not sure about your traps but they seem to have the exact same hardware  and reel as my 40 year old Thompson's

My father used similar looking tip-ups on Lake Erie when I was a kid back in the 50's and I still have 3 of them.  The alum spool and oak wood and they still work.  They do not have the Heart of Maine on them.  Maybe the original owner stamped that name on yours??
