DON'T forget the kids ice fishing clinic this saturday jan 24th at french town pond .
Bring the family and have fun, lots of prizes for the kids.
Will have chili and hot dogs if you get hungry.
Come out and and enjoy the outdoors.
Bring what gear you have and if you need gear I have some .

tj,
That should be good,
There is a spot east of the dock that has a spring and the ice never gets very thick.
We will move a little more west and should be ok.
Will drill more holes in the AM just to be sure .
Thanks for the help,
See you at the clinic.

HOOORAY,
Just finished the kids clinic.
Had 107 kids fishing .
It was slow but a few trout, perch and sun fish were caught.
The weather was perfect, no rain and no wind.
Ice was wet and 5-7 1/2 inches of good ice.
Thank you to everyone who came , who helped and a big thanks to all the sponsors.
It was a big success .
Already planning next years event.

A friend of mine in Missoula took his 10 year old son to the clinic today.  He said that it was a good time and slow fishing, but managed to get a bite right as they were getting to leave and missed the fish.  My pseudo-nephew won a Frabill fishing combo, and also had his name drawn for another rod and a pole holder.  My friend said that occasionally people would come by and hand out some jigs, so I thought that was pretty cool.

Even though I live to far away to participate in this event with my kids, I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to those of you that organize this event for the kids!  I would also like to commend you for continuing to do your part in helping the youth (the future of hunting and fishing) interested in the sport with this wonderful event.
Fishing, the best stress management seminar for the money!
