There are a few reasons for this.

Right now there is very little to no ice on the west side. Our best updaters so far tend to be west side folks so you aren't seeing much in the way of updates yet. Also we see a lot more updating on the weekends historically than during the week. We also have 70+ updaters from last year who haven't even logged in to the sheet once yet this year. There just isn't any ice where they usually fish so they haven't bothered to log in yet.

As the ice gets thicker you will notice that a lot of guys fish the same places so if there is nothing different from the last guy there is nothing to update. e.g. canyon ferry etc. will get one update on Friday and the ice depth doesn't change over the weekend so it will be a week before it is updated again even though 50 guys from this site fished it that weekend. Lakes that are ski or snowmobile access only sometimes only get updated once in a season when one of us goes up there and skis or snowshoes in etc. and fishes it. Even myself who fishes a lot, I have only three or four lakes that I fish regularly so I only update on those three or four most weeks. Then once in a while I travel someplace and I report for that lake if there are no more recent updates for it but it isn't like I travel all over the state constantly. We rely on the locals to those lakes to hopefully find this site, join the group and start updating the sheet instead of just reading it for the lakes they want to know about. The more people we get updating it the better chances we have of getting frequent updates for more lakes.

There are still 59 people from last year who have not accepted their invites and joined yet. I re-sent out all your invites to those who haven't accepted yet. Thanks to the 128 people who did sign back up, and especially to those who have been updating even with as bad/warm of a season this has turned out to be so far in NW Montana. Thankfully some of the east slope folks have been updating the other side, even though it makes me jealous to see those 10"+ ice depths over there

Hey cornbread how do we update the conditions on a lake? Was up at Rogers Monday and tried to post that it had 5-6 inches on it but I came back and it was gone?

I went back through the edit history and your last edit to the sheet accidentally erased the 5"-6" you had previously added to the Rogers Lake entry. I put it back in there for you now.

Yes, same deal as last year, you have to join the Google group, once you are a member of the Google group and are logged in you should be able to access it via this link. Also just like last year I'll make the current week editable for one week starting that Monday so any updates can go in the correct week.

I sent you an invite to the online group that has permissions to the document, once you join that Google group your access to that group will grant you access to the document. It was the only way we could have more than 120 users of a single Google document.
