Need help fixing gas leak in auger!!
« on: Dec 13, 2005, 11:40 AM »
I have a slow leak on the bottom of my gas storage container (on the auger) where the gas hose goes through it.  Any recommendations on how to fix or what I can put on/around it to STOP the leak?  The container that stores the gas is PLASTIC.
Please help, since I have failed to fix with my other "ideas" & I don't want gas falling into my "ice hole" :D!  I have a hard enough time trying to catch fish & DON'T need the leaking gas to further assist in this problem.  Thanks for your help.

I have had good luck with  seal all  they sell it at Job lot and wallmart. I am a landscaper and have used it one line trimmer gas tanks. Make sure you clean the surface really good and apply three or four coatings.
