It’s been there long enough to absorb heat and melt the ice around it.

Looks like the area around bull lake that lake seems to never have good ice through the winter and can blow off on a day.

Sorry I normally feel bad for the folks in these pictures, but this one made me chuckle a little. Wondering how thick the ice was.
