Christmas came early

When I pulled into the driveway tis morning the UPS man was trying to fine a place to leave my portable ice shack so that it wouldn't get wet. He also dropped off my new Marcum fish finder. Now all I need is some bait and ice. I'm going to spend the afternoon putting up the Clam 5600 in the porch and reading the instructions on the fish finder. I guess Christmas came early.

Tried out the Marcum and there isn't a sign of a fish in the kitchen, hard bottom though.

I haven't open the portable yet, but I think I'm going to install some marine carpet if it doesn't have it already. I want Hector to be comfortable.

I should have put the Clam up outside last night for a wind test. I was in the lee and the wind still rolled my canoe across the dooryard, 169 Discovery. We just got power back at 4:00 p.m.. Nice seas down in front of the house, the beach won't be the same.
