Eskimo hc40???
« on: Jan 12, 2017, 10:48 PM »
Just got my hc40 and Eskimo states that during short term storage unlike some jiffys I have seen you can lay them down in any direction.   Just wondering if this is true because I am building an ATV holder for mine and need to know if there is any better way or configuration you should or need to carry them on the ice to prevent the oil leakage issue??????

I always lay mine down with the engine up and the bottle down, just like the sticker on the engine housing says. I'm sure it wouldn't matter for short periods of time, but I figure why should I take the chance if it's just as easy to lay it down the right way? Once I get home I store it standing upright and have for the past three seasons without any issues.
To jig or not to jig... That is the question.
