they don't float bodies so i use mine for every thing off of the ice like shoveling and plowing snow and save my floating ice fishing suit for ice only
you should look into a float suit. i know you don't need to float most times and especially right now, but we do hit a patch of bad ice and your down before you can even think, let alone react. i have a few times now.
since you are looking at suits, i guess you need/want one and i thought i wanted the blue suit too (because of price/availability) until i watched friends fall in and not much i could do about it at that time. so i went looking into self filling life vests and finally read about floating ice fishing suits and bought what was available to me at a local store
