4 w GPS
HT I bought the 4 w/GPS last year and it is amazing once you get the settings dialed in right. The color difference was the biggest thing I noticed because once you get the sensitivity set right you can almost know what the fish is as in an eye or a yellow. The colors change on the size of the fish and the separation is great. I am sure you will get the hang of it, it didn't take me long at all. Good Luck and maybe we will see yah up there.

Nice fish guys. Tried for some perch out of Chapmans but it was pretty slow. Got 2 nice perch and managed my 1st keeper walleye of this ice season. Nothing like those brutes Snagger is holding but a nice eater at a solid 17".

Despite the soaking had a good time chewing the fat with Darrell.

And a big thank-you to the sportsmen that left the Molson cans in the parking area. I can use the nickel deposit to add a lure to my collection. Don't know how many of you were involved, but based on the number of emptys, maybe you shouldn't be driving. Something to think about, but if you think it's ok to throw empty cans in the lot, you probably don't give a damn about driving while impaired.

To the true sportsmen on this site, sorry for the rant.

Nice fish Diehards

Slobs will be slobs and drinking and driving will eventually catch up to the slobs...it was kind of you to do your part of an honest sportsman and clean up after the slobs...

So guess I can't fish for 2 weeks going to attempt to contact the DEC to see exactlly how long till I can get a license. I'm not so worried about the fine if i got caught without a license but I would lose it if all my gear got confiscated

This is definitely bogus.  Tried to get licenses for my kids, nephew and sister and nobody could get one because "the system is down".  Don't know how they could possibly ticket you for not having a license.  I could see if it was down for an hour or two.  But two weeks?  That's ridiculous.

Not to be a D*$! but why'd you wait so long to get your license? Don't you need it for open water or do you only ice fish?

licenses expire on 9/30 rumor they are going to last a whole year from date of purchase but no this year I just got busy in the fall mostly dropping dead ash trees for fire wood so I didn't even think about getting a license. I figured just get one one on my first trip you can get them 24/7 at the truck stop on 49 in central square

I took my grandson to town of cicero to try to get him a licsense. they took all his info, and told us if he gets checked to call the town to verify that we were there. the system won't be running until the 15th. there was no warning that they were going to do this. what's up with that ???.   Sully...

how often does the average Joe get on the NY Dec website..... oh well it is what it is... I think you will be hard up to find a DEC officer who will write you a ticket during the blackout just carry last years license and abide by all the regulations that's what I am going to do.

Great wood easy to split too, most of my trees are ash and in the past few years they have all either died or are close to death so easy pickins for some firewood alot better than the locus I got into this fall that is some tough timber

O'Brien, I think you are right there.  Even if they do write you, just keep your cool, go to the justice and they will likely dismiss it.  I'd do the same.  ;)

If the wind is blowing down there like it is on Lake O, there should be no snow left!!! Hoping the LE machine does not setup over Oneida.

Nice wall hangers YT!

I thought about hanging them on the wall, but there are so many 12-15lb fish and some bigger taken from there I couldn't bring myself to mount them. Or maybe it was the fact I would have had to pay for two mounts. Hmmmmmmm
