I have used both the gulp wax worms and maggots with good success. got tired of high prices and shipping cost. got the 1 " gulp minnows but have not tried them yet. Ice how do you rig them? also ordered the 3"Bubbling Shaker Bluegill and 13 Fishing Coconut Crab Ice Plastics with donkey scent for crappies and gills.

Last jar I got of waxies directly from Berkeley started falling apart, no wonder they were on sale. Almost use the red Wiggler's and 1" minnows exclusively. Gold trout maget jig or a red Hook.

I use the maggots, which look like plastic "spikes."  I have done well with them in the white and chartreuse colors on bluegill, yellow perch, and white perch.  I would not be able to say if they worked better than the real thing, but they worked well enough as long as I did not dead stick them.

I had success with gulp maggots for perch bluegill and crappie.  Stuff stinks but seems to work when jigged

In general I prefer Powerbait because it does not stink as much.

I have had awesome luck with Powerbait Honeyworms (waxie imitation) through the ice on jigs and spoons for bluegill, crappie, and perch. They are my go to bait on the ice.

I have not had good luck with Gulp maggots, but I find when they work they are the only thing that fish will bite that day.

Powerbait minnows great in open water for me but not as good through the ice.

Have not tried the Gulp maggots... I did get the Gulp waxies to try last fall... was not impressed. #1 they are about half the size of live ones. #2 the sunnies spit them out pretty quick under a float.  I have yet to try them under the ice may work better in a vertical jigging presentation IDK.

The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.

Just picked up Gulp Maggots this year and have been fairly pleased with them. Not as good as live fresh worms but as a backup they'll catch fish.
