Well since i dont know where local is for you i cant help, but i think about any lake has trophy potential, depends what trophy is to you though

Back 3 years ago, JC Murphy lake had some good gills, but those days are long gone. Paw Paw in Michigan was said to hold some good gills but I haven't seen any pictures yet.
