Hows the ice on grand lake in presque isle.... Is it machine worthy yet?.... Thats a big lake kinda deters foot travel

We live on the north end, we've had wheelers out for about 2 weeks now, and sleds out the last week. Lots of guys on the ice.

Thanks for the info... Ill probably be there next saturday... If i come ill be cooking up a storm on the ice come out and grab a plate of backstraps ill send you a message and make a post when I arrive

Where would be a good access if your on foot? It will be my first time fishing it, targeting perch. Thanks for any help

Looks like a big lake... From what ive heard right now the fish are on the mud flats in 11 to 14 fow....im not falimiar with the access points of the lake though

Thanks doe slayer, i have a few spots that look fishy I've found on navionics. It sounds like there isn't much snow yet.

I went out of Whisky point which is on the east side of the lake towards the south. Was very easy walking from there. We targeted perch and did very well. got them on tip ups and jigging. Hope this helps.

Whisky is good on the south end, on the north end google "Grand Lake Marina" there is a roadside park there where guys park and walk straight out in a few directions for perch.

Inwas looking is the middle of the lake south side looks like an access thats where i was gonna try saturday if not there then whisky

We went out of whiskey point, we caught a hand full of nice perch. Marked alot, but they had lockjaw

I went to roadside park... Caught a bunch of dinks 3 good keepers marked a million... Same thing here... They would only take it deadstick

We got 9 13-15 inch perch. Them sob are huge!! But slow...lots time in between.
Hard to go different area, was like a blizzard. Lol

You did better than we did... All we got were dinks biggest was 10 inches brought home 2 9s and a 10.... Caught prolly 3 dozen that were 5 inches

Try by 3 sisters island to the east of it.... Lotta smalls but there were keepers to be found... Whiskey bay in 11-16 fow is where the biggus have been coming from but far less fish overall

Ice was great... 8 inches of clear hard ice... So e of the clearest ice 8ve been on
