Heading to fort peck
« on: Feb 11, 2008, 09:18 AM »
A few friends and myself are heading to fort peck next week.   I have never fished for pike.   I have read a lot and what not but would like some advice on setups for my tip ups that would work well.   Not sure what the best bait would be.   I purchased some HT quick strike rigs from sportsmans  are these good too use or should I make my own.   Was also curious if walleye would hit the steel leaders also.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

Quick strike rigs or jimmy rigs have worked for me in the past up there. My favorite is the Jimmy rig with a 6-8" Smelt.
