terrible fishing day as far as fish but great day to be on the ice...slushy for the most part but windblown areas were straight ice, chose to fish one of those areas to keep the feet in mind but only had a weak pickeral.....the first fish of my season was on a depth check with an orange weight bounced it a few times to make sure on the depth and i pulled in a wicked cheap perch...laugh it up..lol...word on the ice is that there was a bass at 6 1/2 pounds caught on a camp about 400 yards from me....
