North shore conditions
« on: Dec 17, 2007, 10:22 AM »
Haven't been to the lake since the weekends storms and wondering if anyone knows what the ice conditions are like on the north shore...especially since all of the snow and the rain that followed...are we still able to get out there....

If I have time I will check Chebacco and the surrounding ponds either tue or wed and will post a report here.

Chebacco has ice, we checked it on Fri, 2 to 3" off beach, not enough for us to go out, maybe next week...

Smaller ponds should be ok. We fished Becks two weeks ago and there was 4-5 inches and only a skim on Chebacco. Most ponds I have checked have very little snow on them and should make for good conditions. I plan on hitting up Hood on Sun with a small crew. I'll post a report after returning.
