just was told there is 12 inches and edges are good for now

Around river area ice is more like 3-6” with 6” of frozen slush on top - edges good - pretty safe but watch your step

I was warning about crowds of people and difficult parking for people who might go there not knowing about the biggest ice derby of the year in these parts. I have no idea what ice conditions are. I'll try to be clearer in the future.

That said, a small pond nearby that I fished yesterday had some open water.

7-lb. largemouth and 14-lb. pike on Saturday.

Good pike - massive bass!

I was in 1st place for Crappie until the last few hours and got bumped out, My buddy had 1st place for Pike for a bit with a 14.5lb but got knocked out with a slightly larger one. Was a great time we caught 8 Pike total ranging between 4lbs to 14.5lbs.
