Cheshire Reservoir Ice Access

Looking to access Upper Cheshire Reservoir Sunday from Old State Rd but unsure of ice thickness down near the culvert. Heard a shanty fell through near there a week or so ago.

Anyone been accessing from here or is everyone using the north boat launch? How thick is the ice out by the middle islands?

Was there fishing on Monday by the islands. Ice was 14 -16 inches . There was a a good size truck on the ice . Down by the causeway had open water . Hope this helps good luck.

Causeway can be tricky with currents - plenty of ice around though

Ice is good, there are always a few bad spots at Cheshire, just watch where everyone else is accessing the ice. Dont make your own path if you don't know the lake.
