This weather
« on: Feb 28, 2018, 07:18 PM »
Sad to see the current weather patterns I enjoy summer and warm weather but winter is not over. I was looking forward to another month of ice. The ice from concord south will degrade fast after this week. I have next Fri sat sun off. Probably gonna venture north. Woodstock or Further north. I have alot of waxies to use up Im not throwing in the towel so easily but accept travel may be in order if it rains as they say. Can anyone give any input on current ice conditions woodstock north? I dont need specific waterbodies just want som options I trust lakes region areas gonna be good thi weekend using caution but cant make it out for a week. Any input on rain and or snowfall up north will be appreciated. I could watch the news But I trust real sportsman more than the weatherman. Thanks

We are up north and up in elevation a bit, and we were at 18" on Tuesday.. If this keeps up, I think its ice that will go bad relatively fast. But March can be a rascal. I'm staying tuned and going more often

I am heading your way Salmonemia just to get on some ice. Safety first but I am already committed to fish this weekend one way or another.
Just add water.

I was out Sunday morning on a local lake north of the notches and it had 16-18" of ice -- I am sure it will still be fine this weekend...!

I'm committed too! bringing my shelter to protect from the winds. Probably cusking Alton or Little O tomorrow night when I can get up north (sitting in my truck for the most part) then either stay on winni or move to Mousam area for saturday. On foot of course!

I took a ride over to turtle pond to look at the ice, its looking pretty dark and on the far side of the pond is a bob house..Good luck to whoever owns it..
