I went and bought a pair of these, and they were the worst gloves I’ve ever bought in my life. Just like the old neoprene gloves, the minute you put them on your fingers get 10° colder. I tried them out one day at 30° blowing snow. My hands froze and the dexterity  they talk about pure bunk. Don’t even think about these things. I took mine back to Fleet today.

Agree. Blackfish aired gloves are alot better.

Speaking of gloves, was in my Costco today and had all the gloves and hats marked at $7.80 in a way back corner by the automotive stuff.  The warm head ski gloves they carry are pretty nice for $25-30, at $7 it's a steal.

Mine has ski goggles for $8. I don't wear them for fishing often, but I have some friends who swear by them.

I've never been brand biased too much, but I have to admit, for the price, the Shimano Sienna is likely the best spinning reel there is. Of any reel type or brand, I don't think anything beats them under $40. They aren't even China slave labor, they are made in Malaysia. I'm not a big fan of 500 size reels, but at that price, I'd buy 2. If they had the 1000 size for the same price, I'd buy 4. I better check my walmart tomorrow.

They were already sold out of them in 2500 and 4000 here so I didn't end up buying any. They still had some 500 and 1000s left, but I'm not in need of any small reels atm.

I've seen signs for Rensallaer, NY when traveling out to NH and MA to visit some of the wife's relatives. Capitol region, not too far before crossing into MA on I-90.

rensselaer IN is named after the same family. According to Wikipedia a merchant named James Van Rensselaer traveled from New York and bought the property in 1844
