Wow that really sucks . That they broke In .  I feel for you .What low life's  would need to take someone's stuff they had worked hard for .  Went out yesterday to or shack and some lifted or heater / cooker.  But it wasn't locked. We never leave anything in it . Except on a rare occasions    like will be back the next day . Locks  only keep honest people honest .  Really cold out  with no heater . . Hopefully you can catch theses dirt bags and stop them .

LGJEFF,
I followed those sled tracks yesterday morning on my way out fishing.  Both were headed out to Assembly Point. When I came in yesterday morning, the tracks were still visible in the snow and there weren't any other tracks other than my quad tracks going back and forth from that way. I hope this helps.

Never like to see these posts, ditto on checking Craigslist and similar websites . I also would spread the word to local bait shops and sporting good stores . I hope for your and anyone Else's sake they catch the crooks.

And it begins. Always hear of at least one rash of break ins every year. Eyes and ears are open over here. Sorry about your loss. Hopefully the scumbags get caught. As someone asked, what is the name on the tip ups? What kind are they besides being stained?

Man that really sucks.... **censored** is wrong with people ??? I fished the walleye challenge on Sacandaga and had a guy with a permanent shanty come over and ask us if he could borrow a auger from our group because someone broke in the night before the tourney and stole his auger. I don't even go into a bait shop or gas station with my stuff in the open unless someone watches it because that's how quick it happens. Was at Franks Gun Shop last year and a guys tip ups got stolen out of the back of his truck, there is some low people out there. Hope you get your stuff back.

when you find that bargain deal online through the common sites,
remember where it may have possibly come from.

Just a heads up fellas.
I heard via my Facebook network that it happened on Hadlock pond also.  :-\

what is wrong with people these days! I had all my tip-ups stolen out of my shed 2 years ago. I really hope they catch these scum before they do this again! best advise now is to keep all valuables at your house and put a trailcam in your shanty. but of course they may just take the trail cam. I wish you luck on finding your stuff!

Nothing is safe from thieves, I stopped at the Stewarts at Rte 149/Ridge Rd on my way to the lake 2 years ago and in the time it took to walk in and buy a soda, sombody had already stolen my gas auger from the back of my truck and left

Some guy had an emergency phone call and had to leave his shanty out there, a few days ago. Came back to get it the next day and it was gone.

Did not get a description of the shanty.

That's just messed up, freaking punks. I friend of mine stopped at a local gas station after hunting one day and had a doe in the back of his truck. In the time it took him to go in and out someone stole his deer  ! they left the tag laying on the tailgate.

With all these stories there is obviously a LARGE population of absolute dirt bags around!!! Unfortunately, you can not trust anybody these days. Also odd how you hear about very few of these bottom feeders getting caught. I would love to come out of a store and see someone climbing in my truck taking stuff!!!  =)

This is nothing new, has always happened and will continue; too many scumbags with no respect for other's personal property. Luckily most people are trustworthy, but because of the few bad apples I don't take chances with my gear.
